Razorback Rocks the Handle Bar in Makati

Rock n’ Roll Legends.. that’s what they are! They have their own Rock n’ Roll style of music, head-banging riffs, and live ass-kicking performance that makes Razorback second to none. Hearing their music is one thing, but watching them perform live is definitely something!

Razorback Members:

Kevin Roy – the front man, the lead singer and a rock n’ roll performer like no other. He has this unique voice that makes Razorback Hebigats! Singing, head-banging and beer-drinking while performing? Only a few good men can do those things in one show. Count ‘em in! \m/

Manuel Legarda – the guitar man of Wolfgang who joined Razorback, and continued the rock n’ roll guitar duties that Dave Aguire (former guitar) left. He’s a versatile guitar player who have no sweat shifting from crushing metal riffs (like he did in Wolfgang) to a hard rock n’ roll licks.

Tirso Ripoll – what else can we say ’bout this man… He’s the guitarist of Razorback from Past to Present. Though I’m not saying I ain’t miss any Razorback shows, but all of the gigs and shows that I’ve seen, he’s always there rockin’ smokin’ with his guitar, and never failed to gig! He’s a punctual, dedicated, rock n’ roll musician that serves as one of the foundations of Razorback.

Mon Legazpi – Wolfgang’s bassist. Though he’s not the bassist of Razorback, he have done a good job keeping this good show rocking. Watching him slapping his 5 string bass guitar will make you frozen stiff. By the way, where’s Louie Talan? (Razorback’s bassist)

Brian Velasco – the hard-hittin rock n’ roll drummer, the celebrant, the man of the hour. He continued the drum-banging duties of Miguel Ortigas (former drummer) to keep Razorback rollin.

Seeing this show with this line up reminds of me of their reunion concert (Razorback and Wolfgang) they’ve done few years ago in Music Museum. Two of the best bands here in one hell of a show.

Flight Of The Icarus

Fly on your way like an eagle

First time to ride on a plane ends the curiosity of being up above. Riding with this one is like riding on an air conditioned bus with a seat belt. Here’s my little zingy zasty toe-tapping testicle-joggling comparison of riding on a Bus and a Plane.

1. Money – Is said to be the root of all evil, but in this case, it is not applied here! Traveling by planes are much more expensive than buses, so the score goes to the buses! (+1 for buses)

2. Comfort Room – An air conditioned bus doesn’t have any comfort rooms, you’ll just have to wait for stop overs to release that call. Planes have an answer to that call of yours man, pee or poo, just name it! (+1 for planes)

3. Seat Belts – Planes strictly require seat belts for safety purposes. If your used to it, you’ll give a +1 for planes, but for me, the score goes with the buses, coz I’m not a fan of seat belts and I’m not comfortable with it hehehe! (+1 for buses)

4. Time and Distance – A little science here folks! Planes score with this one, because traveling by land is too slow compare to traveling by air. (+1 for planes)

5. Mobile Phones – this is one thing that planes do suck! Mobile Phone is STRICTLY PROHIBITED inside the plane. For any reason or what so ever, they lose point in this one compare to buses. Buses never restrict using mobile phones. (+1 for buses)

6. Food and Drinks – planes offer free Food and Drinks to knock off those clog in your ear. Although buses don’t offer free food and drinks, it is allowed to eat any kind of food that you want,  no restrictions! As for me, the score goes with the buses coz I didn’t like the food and drinks that planes served even its for free! (+1 for buses)

7. Lovely Ladies – Oh yeah! Planes have it but Buses don’t! Stewardess Rocks! Sorry man, but the score goes with the planes! (+1 for planes)

Here’s a piece of advice, don’t forget to bring your cameras if you will ride on a plane, coz the view from above is extremely different. These are the scenes that you won’t usually see everyday in your whole damn life. Here’s some of my shots that I’ve captured while riding on a plane.

What is Abstract Photography? There’s a lot of definition you can find on the magazines and here in the net. What’s the common denominator for all of them? Patterns, Shapes Colors and Textures.

According to the web, there is no standard, universally accepted definition of Abstract Photography. However, to put the limits regarding this topic, here’s the 2 statements that we may use to define this section.

* Abstract photos does not represent the subject in a literal way.
* Communicates primarily through form, color, and curves rather than image detail.

Abstract Photography

In addition, Abstract Photography communicates to the viewer primarily through the viewer’s emotion and interpretation towards the subject. It is important to notice that the definition did not say that the subject matter had to be unrecognizable. It is true that, in some abstract images, the viewer can not tell what has been photographed. However, that is just one type of abstract image.

Stairway To Heaven

This is my third and last part of Shot n’ Roll at the La Mesa Ecopark. If you look at the stair on this spot, it will looks like it will lead you to nowhere… But it’s not! This stairway will lead you to La Mesa Dam. Let me tell you something shot n’ rollers… The stair consists of approximately hundred steps, so it may require your physical endurance to reach the top.

I’ve titled this one Rodrigo y Gabriela’s version of Stairway to Heaven. Why I chose this one instead of the original Led Zep’s version? Coz my subject was a plain stair without anyone stepping on it. Just like the Rodrigo y Gabriela’s version of Stairway to Heaven, this one has no vocals, no lyrics, just pure as* kickin’ mariachi style classical guitar.
