Kiss 2009 Goodbye! Ladies and Gents, let’s all welcome the new year with a blast! Say goodbye to the old Ox 2009, coz here comes the roaring Tiger 2010!

In a few hours will be witnessing again the rebirth of a new year, celebrated with eye-catching fireworks, good food and of course, beer beer and more beer! This is an annual event celebrated worldwide so don’t be left behind!

Let me give you a little description about the Year of the Tiger. Here’s what I’ve found on surfing…

The Tiger is the third sign in the cycle of  Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 animal signs.  It is a sign of courage. This fearless and fiery fighter is revered by the ancient Chinese as the sign that wards off the three main disasters of a household: fire, thieves and ghosts.

- Great! We definitely need that one to kick-off  the fire, thieves and ghosts on our house!

Courageous, active, and self-assured.  Optimistic, passionate and independent. Rebellious, dynamic, and unpredictable. Quick tempered but considerate.  Affectionate but careless.  The Tiger is a natural born leader and symbolizes power, passion and daring.

- Oh yeah! People born in the Year of the Tiger Rules!

Tigers are fond of competitions. They simply cannot pass up a challenge.  They may appear cool and are unpredictable, and it would be unwise to underestimate their reactions.  Natural  leaders, they have a strong sense of their own dignity.  They are intelligent, alert, and farsighted.

- If you want a sure win, well, they are not the one you should compete with… hehehe!

Valkyries Ride

Yeah! Show your metal horns for this one! \m/ This is another fireworks shot when I’m photowalking at the Mall of Asia. If you take a closer look at this picture and use your imagination, these could look like something else. And for those who know nothing about Valkyries, here’s a little info that I’ve got from the Wiki hehehe!

In Norse mythology, a Valkyrie ( “chooser of the slain”) is one of a host of female figures who select from those who have died in battle. The Valkyries bring their chosen who have died bravely in battle to the afterlife hall of the slain, Valhalla, ruled over by the god Odin.

This is my rendition of Valkyries Ride by the Melodic Death Metal Band Amon Amarth. Rocks! \m/
