As we all know that this event is all about cars and (of course) the ladies, this event I might say has been changed and improved constantly. Being a follower of this event for 3 years, I have to say that the last year’s MIAS (2011) was better; (I mean, don’t get me wrong, no offense to the gorgeous and sexy ladies here coz they were all smokin’ hot. I think last year’s good point, in my humble opinion, was more cars, cycles, and presentation than the usual) And I’m sure, some of our fellow hobbyists/ photographers would agree. I’m not disappointed though, it’s just that  you can’t actually avoid to compare.

The Iloilo Dinagyang Tribe – the last year’s Million Peso Grand Champion of Aliwan Festival (2010). Though I haven’t actually witness and experience Dinagyang Festival, but seeing their Street Dance performance is really smoking and impressive! They really did a good job representing Iloilo and introducing Dinagyang Festival to Manila  coz of their ground-breaking and undeniable performance. It was absolutely no doubt, they were the Champion and the Crowd favorite!

This place is located near the area of Bureau of Plant Industry, and it only takes one (1) jeepney ride from the public market,which makes it very accessible. Panagbenga Baguio Flower Festival 2011 Photos

To give you a little info about this event…
Panagbenga is a month-long annual flower festival celebrated in Baguio which literally means “season of blooming”. The festival includes floats and street dancing presented by dancers of all ages with flower-decorated costumes. Sounds interesting? Yes it is, makes you wanna go shoot and capture every detail of it.

So as far as shooting is concerned, let me give you some tips for you to avoid the hassles when shooting. (Just like what we’ve experienced)

1. You should have a Panagbenga ID to gain access in restricted areas/ spots upon taking pictures.
2. If you don’t have the ID, then you should wake up early, as early as 5am just to have a nice and clear spot.

So in spite of being rejected from the ideal shooting area, here are some of my photos taken on this event. Check this out!
