Now let’s turn the page to the last Chapter. Let me show you the man behind the camera, the eye behind the lens, and the mind behind the blog.

So without further ado, here’s my 7 Self-Portrait style of shooting. Check this out!

1. Look for Reflections
2. Use the Shadows
3. Include your body part
4. Determine your Foreground and Background
5. Use any tools/equipments you got there
6. Take your souvenir shot
7. Be creative and artistic.

REFLECTIONS
– When it comes to reflection, Mirror is the first one. This is the most commonly used in taking self-portraits. See Self-Portrait shots nos. 1 to 4.

Self-Portrait Shot #1: Using the mirror

The most common shot. Facing the mirror, hand-helding the camera, then click! The easiest and effortless style of taking self-portraits! Hehehe!

The shot above was taken as me, facing the camera, while the camera is on my right side mounted on a tripod. Using the timer and manual focus to take it intentionally blurred.

If you have extra gears and/or equipments, try to use it for a unique self-portrait. See shots nos. 3 and 4.

Self-Portrait Shot #4: Using the Mirror and your extra Lens

The shot above was taken as my right hand is holding the shutter, 50mm lens on my left hand, facing the mirror and focusing at the dead center.

As per taking souvenir shots, this one was taken at the Manila Auto Show. Since it was all about cars, you can also use other reflections such as the side mirror, wind shield, car logos, etc etc.

Be creative and artistic. Vandalism prohibited is definitely a hell yeah! If you’re a crazy ass Shot n’ Roller like me who’s bored and looking for some crazy and unique Self-Portrait, you should also do this! Just make sure you do it better than this one right here, coz it’s a crap!
